And after two months of impatient waiting, two hours by plane and 6 hours by train and finally here I am…the last intern)))…And my first look on the night Eskisehir…It was enough one minute to fall in love with the city `where statues are talking to u`. I met there another culture, people, mentality, country but I was feeling really comfortable there all the time….as at home)

LC Eskisehir met me with its hospitality. Joined the project “Towards the Future”, I was working with students and kids, preparing speaking classes for them. But I can even say that they were for me like teachers…the best teachers about Turkish life and the country. Also I heard so many questions about Ukraine and our people. That was great time we spent together and I miss my clever children and students so much…

That internship allows me to connect the whole world…So many people from different countries in one place, in one time. I found there lots of friends…..good friends. Day in day I spent with them cool, funny hours. I`ll never forget our home parties, open-air cinemas, delicious lunches, weekend breakfasts at 2 pm, free beer in Del Mundo every Monday, crazy visits to lunapark, girs talking evenings and shopping…and of course our trips…

I had great opportunity to travel a lot with my friends…Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Izmir, Troy city, Assos, Aegean and Marmora sea…So many famous places that charmed you with it ancient beauty, where your heart started to beat faster, where you felt the breath of history…

And that amazing time in Eski helps me to aim the main gains of my internship: to improve English, to get the experience in teaching, social and cultural education,  to develop my personal skills: communicative, presentation, organization, team-working, leadership.

I was lucky to find really interesting project . EduPoland project s is about education in Poland. The main idea is to find and support Ukrainian students to study in Poland. So I was involved in process of brainstorming, creating the product, product packaging, marketing and promotion. It was really special because I was able to make strategical decisions. Project leader (Bartek) was the real leader, cause he enabled me a free space for creativity.

The internship was taking place in lovely city Slupsk in North-West Poland. The population is about 100 thousands. People are friendly and opened. Architecture is amazing and really similar to Lviv. I was living in Barteks house. I had separate room and all conditions were really comfortable.

My time in Poland was full of traveling. Baltic sea located only 20 km to Slupsk, so I was going there several times a week. Also I visited outstanding polish festival – Woodstock 2011. There were about 700 000 of people! A lot of great musicians and Prodigy by the way! In Poland I visited also Gdansk, Szscecin, Koshalin and Lublin. But greatest trip was in Europe. I visited Berlin and stayed there for one day. And then I went to Amsterdam by hitchhiking. It was 28 hours, but it was really unforgettable! I enjoyed this beautiful Holland city for two days.  have met my friend Tom there and he shoved Amsterdam to me.

All in all I am highly satisfied of my internship and of hospitality of AIESEC in Koshalin. Looking forward to visit my friends in Poland again!

All my wishes came true. Teaching and taking care of kids from summer camps brought lots of positive emotions and changed me greatly. Helping and spending time with them was wonderful and useful experience in my life. And now I’m very happy to receive so pleasant messages from them. Our days-off in the city were full of great events and awesome parties. We admired the architecture of Old Town, discovered the beauty of parks and museums and made friends with people from Pakistan, Chile, Greece, China, Argentina, of course, Poland etc. It was very difficult to say good-bye to them and came back home. I’m looking forward to use this amazing chance and go on exchange once again.

Now I’m involving into the life of home LC as Alumni/ER Coordinator. This position offers a wide variety of opportunities to develop personal and professional skills. It’s so nice to use past experience from alumni in present activities to achieve better results in the future, as they can give much helpful advice and interesting information. So I’d like to make a major contribution to the history of LC Lviv:)

Оскільки я дівчина, то надзвичайно приємним сюрпризом стали для мене ціни на одяг – ось куди потрібно їздити, щоб оновлювати гардероб!

Чудернацька архітектура просто захоплює з першого погляду. Гуляючи містом просто неможливо відвести погляд від вулиць, будинків. Приємний клімат, цікава культура, неймовірна природа – усе в Туреччині дійсно зачаровує!

Я дуже задоволена тим, що мала можливість не лише працювати, а й знайомитись з людьми та милуватися красою,яка оточувала мене всюди.

Саме стажування та робота, яку я виконувала була дуже цікавою та корисною для мене. Завдяки тренінгам, які я проводила, я змогла не тільки розказати про свою культуру та державу, я змогла дізнатись багато нового про життя людей в різних частинах світу. Приємно було бачити захоплення в очах дітей, коли я розповідала про Україну, нашу історію, культуру. Переконана, що проведення таких занять піднімає імідж України в очах іноземців.

Здається,що 1,5 місяці за кордоном – це дуже багато! Але цей час пролетів для мене непомітно, оскільки часу сумувати в мене не було. Це був неймовірний відпочинок для мене посеред навчального року!

Важко висловити всі мої враження від стажування в кількох реченнях. Хочеться лише підкреслити те, що я отримала незабутній та неймовірний досвід, який я ніколи не забуду.

Я завжди буду вдячна AIESEC за таку можливість!

That was the start of incredible story named “Me in Incredible India”.  I still remember first few hours after receiving this email: shock, excitement, fear, fear again, calling to my friends and parents, hearing from everywhere ‘Are you crazy, couldn’t you choose “normal country”?’  Normal country for most of my friends and my parents meant western European country or at least US… For some people India seems as definitely not normal country and frankly speaking it isJ. But if you want to live most unforgettable, exciting, challenging, mind-blowing period if your life, if you don’t want to be ‘normal’ and do ‘normal’ things, that’s definitely # 1 place to go!

So I packed my stuff, made a visa (which was amazingly easy) and on August 23^rd landed in Delhi International Airport. I arrived at 5 a.m. in the morning so I had to wait for few hours for local AIESECers to meet me. So I had some time to look around. First impression: crazy traffic (at 5 a.m.!!!), people everywhere – huge amount of people and this unusual but nice smell of spices in the air. Now I am already 3 months living in Delhi. During that time I had so many discoveries about this country, so many cultural shocks, I saw lots of things that made me pissed off or delighted. As any country India has its highs and lows. But at any point of time I wasn’t feeling sorry for choosing this country.

Few observations that I’ve made and that you might find useful if you consider India as an option for your internship:

• Even 5/10/15 years won’t be enough to fully discover this country, visit all nice places, and understand Indian culture. It’s one of the biggest counties in the world and one of the oldest. Making travel plans is extremely hard here – there are so many places which you just must see, that 7 months (in my case) is definitely not enough. Here they have a temple which is thousand years old, there you can have an elephant safari in jungles or camel one is desert etc… Basically you’ll definitely won’t get bored J.
• India is place where you get great cultural experience. You can definitely call Indians as “high context nation” which means that they have huge amount of traditions, rules of behavior, different nuances… Everything is just extremely different which makes your staying here exiting learning experience. For me this experience just made me to open my eyes on lots of things: why so traditional system as castes is still working in the fastest growing economy on earth as India? Why people in 21^st century still have arranged marriages? Why poor people living on the streets in India seem to be more happy then average European living in nice apartment? Lots of these things that seemed to be nonsense for me before now started to make sense. Well if anyone is interested in discovering something unknown – welcome to India…
• India is NOT what you read about it in i-net or books. Before coming to India I was preparing a lot. I’ve read dozens of websites, blogs, articles about India, way of life there and how is that to be a foreigner in this country. Honestly speaking after doing that I started to have doubts whether I made a right decision about choosing that country and if I’ll be able to survive for 6 months here. Seriously it’s not that bad! I am walking streets alone, I am drinking water, I don’t clean plates with soap before eating in the restaurants, I eat in the streets, I talk with local people and nothing bad happened to me! Of course I am not saying that it’s very safe. As well as you cannot say that about US, Ukraine or any other country.
• Apart all great things about country and culture there’s one more really important point here: professional experience. As for me I am working in Microfinancing Organization which provides small loans to poor people in India giving them a chance to get sustainable jobs and livelihood. I am getting indeed unique experience: from one side I am able to make positive impact on people’s lives, from other hand I am helping my company in business planning, management, basically I can involve in any area of their activities. People at the company are really flexible and they give me opportunity to choose what exactly I want to do. Another awesome thing about work in India is unique network you are getting here. In India they do lots of things about which I never heard about in Ukraine. You meet so many extraordinary people, get to know lots of new business ideas, business models… My internship gave me idea of what I want to do with my life, so now I already on the start point of my business plan.
• And last but not the least is huge amount of AIESEC interns in India. Only in Delhi there are near 60. I am living with 8 other people from different countries which make lots of fun.  Internship is not only about learning and work and it’s great to have people with which you are traveling, partying or just having fun together.

Well I guess this is it. Hope to meet some more Ukrainians in India – I am 4 more months here

У коридорі інституту я натрапила на цікавий постер: «Відкрий світ для себе! Розпочни з Азії цього літа! Візьми участь у програмах міжнародних стажувань вже зараз!» Мені така ідея сподобалась, і довго не думаючи я заповнила аплікаційну форму на веб-сайті AIESEC у Львові. Через декілька днів мені подзвонили, запросили на інтерв’ю, яке пройшло безболісно і зовсім не страшно. Потім був контракт, реєстрація в myaiesec.net і безпосередньо пошук стажування. Індія, Польща, Туреччина, Росія та ще багато інших країн… Очі розбігалися! Куди ж поїхати? Після довгих пошуків оптимального варіанту я натрапила на цікаву пропозицію восьмитижневого соціального стажування у Польщі. Надіслала листа з пропозицією взяти мене, пройшла невелику співбесіду в режимі он-лайн і була затверджена. Радості не було меж!

Я одразу ж розпочала підготовку до поїздки. Інформація про країну, місто, транспорт, квитки, виготовлення візи… Все це зайняло близько місяця. Увесь час я відчувала підтримку як з боку айсекерів з Польщі та дівчини з Сімферополя, яка рік перед тим була в тому самому місті на стажуванні. Тому будь-які труднощі одразу ж вирішувалися спільними зусиллями (за що всім велике спасибі!):)

Можливо в когось виникає сумнів щодо того, що стажування у Польщі може виявитися цікавим, а поїздка особливою, але я з впевненістю можу це заперечити! Стажування стало однією із найнезабутніших подій у моєму житті. Не скажу, що Польща –  це перша країна, яку я відвідала, але однозначно між туристичною поїздкою та стажуванням різниця велика. Тижневий тур в якусь країну – це те саме, що «екскурсія» сторінками в Інтернеті. Нічого особливого. А стажування – це реальна можливість вивчити культуру, побут, зрозуміти менталітет людей, врешті-решт полюбити їх та гарно і з користю відпочити.

Третє серпня 2009 року, 19:12, на пероні залізничного вокзалу міста Кошалін стояв світловолосий симпатичний хлопчина із табличкою: «Wellcome, Alinka!:)”. Це був айсекер, який займався моїм стажуванням. Він по-джентельменськи взяв мою не маленьку валізу, і ми поїхали поселятися в гуртожиток. Скажу одразу, різниця між нашими «общагами» і їхніми ВЕЛИЧЕЗНА! Чисто, охайно, симпатично, комфортно… і т.д. Епітетів можна підібрати багато, але найголовніше те, що я жила в кімнаті з китаянкою Джиною! Я не тільки розділяла з нею один житловий простір, а ще й офіс, адже стажування у нас проходило в тій самій організації. По сусідству з нами також жили турок, росіянка та мексиканець. Тому як друзів, так і досвіду спілкування з іноземцями я здобула багато!

Перший робочий день у Фундації TWIP… В офіс ми йшли з невеликою боязкістю у душі. Нова робота, нові люди, шеф… Чого від них чекати? Але як з’ясувалось із перших же хвилин розмови, тут на нас уже давно і з нетерпінням чекали. Одразу поцікавилися чи все у нас гаразд, влаштували невеликий фуршет, розповіли про організацію та нашу роль в ній. А наступного дня вже безпосередньо приступили до роботи. Отже, нашим головним завданням було планування, організація та проведення тренінгів для дітей та підлітків у соціальній сфері та сфері бізнесу в рамках програм «Integration Based On Language» та «Volunteer Like Me». Також ми займались розробленням соціального проекту для European Volunteer System «Оpen For Change», пошуком партнерів у Європі, зокрема в Румунії, Болгарії, Іспанії, Україні, та підписання з ними контрактів. Паралельно розробляли логотипи для проектів і програм, рекламні плакати, перекладали веб-сайт на англійську, проходили декілька інтер’ю у місцевій пресі. А по завершенню стажування нам видали сертифікати і присвоїли статус волонтерів організації.

Окрім роботи ми ще й активно відпочивали. Поїздки на берег Балтійського моря, вечірки, дискотеки, прогулянки, екскурсії, спортивні «турніри»… Поляки намагалися все зробити для того, щоб нам було комфортно та не нудно! І мушу зазначити, що їм це вдалося:)

Що ж до самої країни, то вона виявилась на багато розвиненішою, ніж наша, а погляди людей більш прогресивними. Міста чисті, охайні, будівлі реставровані… Тому інколи складалось враження, що ти не у сусідній Польщі, а на заході Євросоюзу. Великого культурного шоку у мене не було, але приємне здивування мало місце.

Повернувшись додому я ще довго сумувала за TWIP-ом, стажерами, айсекерами, Кошаліном і Польщею загалом. Але досі тішуся, що знайшла багато нових друзів з різних куточків світу, з якими підтримую контакт досі, отримала неоціненний досвід роботи в умовах іншої країни і, звичайно, покращила свої знання англійської мови (адже стажування в організації та спілкування проходило на англійській). Якщо у мене буде можливість ще хоча би раз поїхати на стажування в будь-яку країну світу, я без вагань погоджусь і вам рекомендую! Не втрачайте свій шанс відчути масу позитивних емоцій та здобути неоціненний досвід у різних сферах життя!:)

I have really interesting situtaions during my traveling to get to Lviv Ukraine…..In this contex I need to say that I heart lots of stories from my friends everything what could happend to me in the train.But, I wasnt afraid.I left Skopje (the capital city in Republic of Macedonia) with great thoughts and exitment that I am going to Lviv Ukraine.

And what happend to me in the trains?

I met great people from Belgrade while my travelilng to Belgrade……Eventhought I missed the train that goes directly from Belgrade to Lviv I didnt miss the train that goes to Budapest. In that train I met guys from Australia and Argentina, so I was happy to spent one day in train knowing people, talking talking laughing sharing stories of my life with them.

I have to give money to driver in the train to let me in the train that goes to Lviv from Budapest (that train that I missed in Belgrade) because the people that are working in Skopje on the train station didnt reserve for me reservation place in that train in which I had to be…

People in Budapest didnt know English and it was hard to understand what they said to me no pljaca hehe, I had to buy something in COP but what is COP hehe.

I was lucky and have person from Aiesec to pick me up at the train station……..We have no electrisity and hot water the first week. The most important thing that I was positive and keep smiling eventhough we have that kind of problems. I want to say that everything could happend to you durring your internship but always you have to look at the bright side of life…..Everything that happend to me was one experience more in my live…

I lived and worked with great people,Martin from Poland,Paul from Romania, Evelyn from Mexico and Shan from China.We were so different, different attitues, different habits.I started to know me better what kind of person I am, know more about myself my feelings, nottising the differences in comparation with them.

I worked with children on different topics Leader and Leadership, Global warming, Team how to deal with team, Hiv Aids. I gave to them all my positive energy all my knowledge how to became leader, to recognize leader in themselves and in the same time learned from them. The children were so honest didnt hide their emotions, and they enjoyed with us during the country presentations, topic presentations and games that we played.

I really liked the Ukrainan food.Its different from Macedonian food but I get used to it and I was enjoying eating it.The food was so delicious especially borch the soup that I tried in Pozatahata and Vareniki that we usually ate in Kriivka in combination with Lvivsko Pivo. Also Paul and Shan coocked in our flat so I tryed Romanian food and Chinese as well. I used to eat food with cili inside, cili brought Evelyin from Mexico.

I wished to be there now one more time with Martin Shan Paul and Evelyin.

I was traveling a lot in Lviv the places near Lviv than Kiev Odesa and I met so many people from all over the world, interns from Germany Indonesia, Brazil, Uk, Japan, Turkey, Slovenia ect.

In the and I have to share with you that I am really really happy that I was in Ukraine and spent great time there….

The world is so small when you have friends everywhere…..

This internship was great experience for me, but for you I have to say that AIESEC exchange you have to expire by yourself.

Thanks a lot Aiesec Lviv you are my friends and took great part of my life…….Thanks for everything and hope to see you in my country Macedonia.
